
They equally manifest their endorsement of the creation of an independent Palestinian State within the 1967 borders, with its capital in East Jerusalem, in agreement with the Arab peace initiative and international resolutions. On Wednesday, March 26, exactly when the Arab Summit decided to not recognise the State of Israel, The American Secretary of State John Kerry met with the Palestinian President Mahmud Abbas in Amman, to promote peace talks with Israel and attempt to extend the current round of negotiations. Abbas has no intention of giving in on this point if Israel doesn’t compromise on stopping the construction of settlements in the occupied Palestinian territories; according to Mahmud Abbas, Israel has authorized the construction of 10,000 colonies since the current round of negotiations began eight months, pushed by the United States.
